> “Villa Biener, Contemporary Art” was founded by two artists: Judith Török and Carlo Maglitto who both consider their habitation an open space that works to bring together all those realties who wish to guarantee the presence, visibility and development of contemporary art.
Villa Biener exists to facilitate the production of new works, involving also young artists, which then becomes a permanent contribution  to the history of the area. Villa Biener is situated in an old olive grove in the hills of Cipressa with terraces overlooking the sea. Cipressa, a small village on the coast of West Liguria between Imperia and Arma di Taggia, according to legend, takes its name from the first settlers of the place: three escaped shepherds from the Island of Cyprus who landed on the beach of Aregai (which means old river of the drowned).
